US military helicopters are scheduled to pass through Bulgarian airspace on June 2 and 3 as part of a redeployment between Greece and Romania, according to official information. The aircraft involved belong to the United States Army and include UH-60 Black Hawk and AH-64 Apache helicopters.
The flights are linked to the rotation of US forces taking part in the Atlantic Resolve operation, which involves the movement and positioning of allied military assets across Europe.
During the transit, the helicopters are expected to make a stop in the area of the Novo Selo Training Range in southeastern Bulgaria. Authorities noted that the landing forms part of the planned logistical movement between operational locations.
Officials emphasized that all flights will follow pre-approved air corridors and standard safety procedures. Crews will also implement noise-reduction measures during the operation to minimize disruption over populated areas.
The movement is described as routine within the framework of allied force rotations, with the aircraft continuing onward to Romania after completing their scheduled stop in Bulgaria.
