Speed is not the same as progress
“Move faster” has become the default response to pressure. It sounds decisive but often, it is simply reactive. In many organisations, speed is compensating for something else: a gap in capability.
When teams are not fully ready, the instinct is to push harder, deliver anyway, figure it out, keep moving.
And work does get done. But beneath the surface, issues begin to accumulate: mistakes are repeated, learning remains shallow, Confidence begins to decline.
Because there is no time to build real capability.
