U.S. Border Patrol agents have arrested 52 people under “Operation Checkmate” in Arizona’s Yuma Sector for allegedly residing in the United States illegally, with 30 of those detained identified as Indian nationals. According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the operation targeted commercial motor vehicle operators between May 11 and May 15. Authorities said 36 of those arrested were driving semi-trucks, while three of the Indian nationals reportedly did not possess valid driver’s licenses.
