Apple has just released an important update which fixes an annoying issue currently affecting some users. The gremlin is preventing some devices from being wirelessly charged, with those affected only able to top up their batteries via MagSafe wireless refilling.‌Apple says that only a small number of people seem to have been affected, but now is still a good time to make sure your device is up to date.‌So, which devices could be having trouble charging?‌It's been confirmed that the iPhone 17 range, including the Pro and Pro Max models, needs to install the update along with the iPhone Air."This update addresses an issue for a small number of users that may prevent wired charging on iPhone Air and iPhone 17 models when the battery is nearly drained," Apple explained.If you have one of the devices, then it's easy to update things. Simply head to the Settings, tap General and Software Update.‌You should then see iOS 26.5.1 available. Tap Update Now to install things immediately, or you can schedule an update at night when you are asleep.Just make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi or have unlimited mobile data, as it's a huge 13.6GB file.‌It's set to be a big week ahead for Apple updates.
