Russia launched a massive combined missile and drone attack across Ukraine in the early hours of Tuesday, killing at least five people and injuring dozens more as strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and Kharkiv, local authorities said. In Kyiv, one man was killed and 29 people were injured, including two children, according to Kyiv City Military Administration chief Timur Tkachenko. Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 21 of the wounded were hospitalized, while others received medical assistance at the scene or outpatient treatment. Residential buildings damaged across Kyiv According to Tkachenko, Kyiv’s air raid alert lasted more than three hours before the all-clear was announced at 4:39 a.m. Falling debris and strikes caused damage across several districts of the capital. In the Podilskyi district, a repeat strike on a nine-story residential building caused a partial structural collapse. Klitschko warned that people could be trapped under the rubble. Non-residential buildings and vehicles also caught fire in the district. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a missile likely hit a 24-story residential building, causing a fire on the fourth and fifth floors. In the Solomianskyi district, the upper floors of a 15-story residential building were damaged. Authorities also reported a fire in a 24-story building on the seventh and eighth floors.
