Police are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle was allegedly driven at groups of pedestrians, injuring one person.
The incident happened in Balclutha, Otago, about 2am on May 17 after police responded to reports of fighting and vehicles doing burnouts near Clyde St and Lanark St.
Investigators say one of the vehicles involved, believed to have been carrying four occupants, was driven intentionally towards groups of people.
The vehicle narrowly missed several pedestrians before striking one person, who suffered moderate injuries and required medical treatment.
Police have executed a number of search warrants and seized the vehicle believed to have been involved.
