The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has maintained that the list of candidates it published for the House of Representatives and the state House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections remains the outcome of the party’s primaries, despite growing protests and allegations of manipulation from aggrieved stakeholders.

Speaking with The PUNCH on Monday, Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, said the state chapter merely published the outcome of the primaries conducted by a committee appointed by the party’s national headquarters.

The Lagos APC had, in a publication in The Nation newspaper on May 25, unveiled what it described as the list of successful candidates for the House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly elections in 2027.

Among those listed as winners of the House of Representatives tickets were James Abiodun Faleke (Ikeja), Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa (Agege), Babajimi Benson (Ikorodu), Muftau Egberongbe (Apapa), Moses Olanrewaju (Amuwo-Odofin), Fuad Kayode Laguda (Surulere I), Fuad Atanda-Lawal (Eti-Osa) and Wale Raji (Epe).

The list also showed Olabisi Adebanjo as the APC candidate for Alimosho Federal Constituency, making her the only woman among the party’s 24 House of Representatives candidates.
