Russia launched a large-scale overnight attack on Ukraine with missiles and drones in the early hours of Tuesday, triggering air raid alerts in Kyiv and across multiple regions. The Kyiv City Military Administration said Russian drones were flying over Ukraine and warned residents to seek shelter. It also reported activity by Russian strategic aviation and launches of cruise missiles from enemy ships. “Please take care of your safety and use shelters,” the administration said. According to the Air Force, Russian forces were also attacking Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia with missiles. Kyiv placed on alert amid drone threat As of 1:33 a.m., Kyiv authorities said an air raid alert had been declared in the capital because of the threat posed by Russian attack drones. The Air Force also reported groups of drones moving across many regions. By 1:46 a.m., the military warned of a threat of ballistic missile use from the northeast. Air raid alerts covered a significant part of Ukraine overnight, according to the national alert map. Kalibr missiles launched from Caspian Sea Earlier in the night, Ukraine’s Air Force said Russian forces had launched Kalibr cruise missiles toward Ukraine from the Caspian Sea.
