Various high-frequency economic indicators released on Monday showed that the economy is resilient and domestic demand is picking up. GST collection grew to ₹1.94 lakh crore in May, showing a growth of 3.2 per cent. PMI manufacturing posted 55.0 in May, above the April reading of 54.7, indicating the strongest improvement in the sector’s health in three months. During the month, passenger vehicle sales grew by 26 per cent year-on-year to around 4.4 lakh units in May as compared with 3.51 lakh units in May 2025.
