The Moolaikkaraipatti police have arrested an aged couple for allegedly murdering their daughter reportedly due to her illegal affair with her brother-in-law.According to police, Sivan, 60, of Shenbhagaramanallur under Moolaikkaraipatti police station limits in the district and his wife Vairammal, 57, recently informed the police that their daughter Amutha, 22, ended her life by consuming poison.Following the post-mortem, it was established that the woman had been strangulated to death after administering poison to her. When the police picked up the aged couple for interrogation, it was found that Amutha had illegal affair with her elder sister’s husband.
