The Lithuanian capital turned pink over the weekend as thousands gathered for the fourth edition of the Vilnius Pink Soup Fest, a celebration dedicated to the country’s iconic cold beetroot soup, šaltibarščiai.
Now in its fourth year, the pink-themed festival offered expanded entertainment and family-friendly activities.
It began on Friday with a major concert in Town Hall Square, drawing large crowds to central Vilnius.
On Saturday, organisers said that around 16,000 joined the pink walk – a mass walking event, where participants were encouraged to dress in pink and follow at 10,5 km route featuring city landmarks and interactive installations.
Festival organisers said the crowd at the White Bridge was one of the largest yet seen for the event.
