Reliable water access for East Zone customers is made possible by Manila Water’s diversified supply, with the Upper Wawa Dam serving as a key buffer in ensuring consistent service even as the level of Angat Dam continues to drop.

Manila Water affirms its readiness to ensure a reliable and safe water supply across its East Zone concession despite declining water levels in Angat Dam, even as increased water demand is expected when classes resume on June 8.

Although the level of Angat Dam has fallen below the minimum operating level of 180 meters, Manila Water’s diversified portfolio of raw water sources reduces dependence on Angat Dam, which typically experiences significant declines during the dry season.

The company continues to diversify and strengthen its water sources, anchored on the full integration of alternative raw water facilities exclusively managed and utilized by Manila Water. At the forefront of this strategy are the Upper Wawa Dam and the Tayabasan Weir, which together can supply up to 710 million liters per day, providing critical augmentation to the overall system and reinforcing supply reliability.
