We are excited to announce EPFL’s participation in the EuroTeQathon 2026, taking place at DTU (Technical University of Denmark) in Copenhagen from 13 to 15 June.This year, EPFL will be represented by two PhD teams. The first team, VR-Assisted Demining, is addressing a challenge proposed by FSD (Swiss Foundation for Mine Action) by developing a virtual reality-assisted system to support demining operations in conflict and post-conflict zones.The second team, Fasten Your Greenbelt, is working on innovative solutions to help reduce the carbon footprint of aviation in response to a challenge proposed by WWF.Over three days, participants will immerse themselves in a dynamic programme of workshops, networking activities and collaborative challenges. They will also receive tailored feedback from professionals and exchange ideas with peers from partner universities across Europe.On the final day, all teams will pitch their project solutions to an international jury composed of representatives from industry, academia and the public sector.
