The 52-year-old was recalling a chaotic incident he encountered while driving home from a DIY store over the weekend.‌During a discussion about driving, Vernon urged motorists to "drive for everyone else" and remain alert on the roads. He then went on to describe a "dangerous" situation he claimed to have witnessed on a motorway.‌Turning to his producer, he said: "Can I have 30 seconds Phil please, allow me 30 seconds and we'll cut Jeremy short."‌Laughing, co-star Ellie Brennan jokingly apologised to Jeremy ahead of his programme.Vernon then launched into a rant about a driver who he claimed was travelling at 40mph on the motorway."It caused absolute chaos when you get the trucks backed up with the coaches and all of the vehicles over taking a car who's doing 40 on the motorway," he ranted.‌"I was fuming, honestly, I was fuming. I was like, 'Deep breath, deep breath'.At that point, Vernon broke into an impression of himself furiously sounding his horn. "I did it, I hold my hands up, I did it, I was that person," he continued.‌"It's so dangerous, you could just see what was happening behind this car."Bringing his rant to a close, he added: "Anyway, I will move on before I get myself into trouble."Vernon is no stranger to sharing stories about his life and personal experiences on the show.‌During an episode of his programme last week, he mentioned his wife, Tess Daly, for the first time since they announced their separation. The former couple have been married for 23 years and share two daughters, Phoebe and Amber. In a joint statement released to fans on May 8, they said their decision to part ways had "not been an easy choice", but came "from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us".‌They added that they "remain great friends and most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority".The pair also confirmed that there were "no other parties involved" and requested privacy "as we navigate this transition together".‌Returning to his hosting duties following the announcement, Vernon thanked listeners for their support."I just want to say on behalf of myself and Tess, thank you, thank you, for all your well wishes, it's been greatly, greatly, appreciated," before swiftly moving on with his show.More recently he has shared details about a recent family party at their home.Article continues belowHe told listeners: "We were tidying up, Amber had a party.
