The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has launched a statewide campaign titled “Two Years of Betrayal”, accusing the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of failing to fulfil its election promises.YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Monday unveiled the campaign poster and booklet at the party’s central office in Tadepalli.Addressing the media, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy alleged that Andhra Pradesh had witnessed two years of “anti-people, authoritarian and deceptive governance” under Mr. Naidu. He claimed that several welfare schemes introduced during the tenure of former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had either been diluted or discontinued, causing hardship to beneficiaries.Announcing a series of protest programmes across the State, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy said district-level campaign launches would be followed by constituency-level events. Protests would be held at mandal headquarters on June 4, town-hall meetings on June 8 and 9, and large-scale rallies at constituency headquarters on June 12.He urged party workers and the public to download the campaign booklet and posters through a QR code and discuss the issues highlighted in the document. The campaign, he said, seeks to draw attention to what the YSRCP describes as a wide gap between the coalition government’s promises and its performance over the past two years.Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy also alleged irregularities in the Mega DSC recruitment process and accused the government of diverting attention from key public issues. He claimed that welfare beneficiaries, self-help group women, farmers and economically weaker sections had been adversely affected under the present administration.Calling upon intellectuals, social activists, welfare beneficiaries and the general public to participate in the agitation programmes, he said the protests were intended to seek accountability from the government and revive public debate on issues relating to welfare, education, healthcare and employment.
