In a bid to attract fresh talent and strengthen its communication machinery, the Telangana Congress has launched a ‘Talent Hunt’ initiative to identify and groom young individuals as party spokespersons and representatives.Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud and Congress media incharge Sama Rammohan Reddy said the initiative was inspired by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s vision of opening up opportunities for talented youth, professionals and socially conscious individuals to actively participate in politics and public discourse.Mr. Goud said the programme seeks to move beyond conventional political recruitment and identify individuals with a sound understanding of national and State politics, strong communication skills and a commitment to constitutional and secular values. Selected candidates will be trained and given opportunities to represent the party in public forums and media debates. He said the Congress was looking for articulate voices capable of effectively presenting the party’s policies, highlighting the achievements of the Telangana government and exposing what the party describes as the failures and shortcomings of the BJP-led Central government.Mr. Sama Rammohan Reddy said applications would be invited from interested individuals across different professional and social backgrounds. The exercise, he said, was not restricted to existing Congress workers and aimed at identifying talent wherever it existed.“The objective is to create a pool of well-informed and committed spokespersons who can effectively communicate the Congress ideology and counter misinformation,” he said.
