As a mark of protest against Karnataka government’s notification allowing hijab in educational institutions, members of Sri Rama Sene distributed saffron shawls to colleges students in Hubballi on Monday (June 1, 2026).The Sene members stood with a bunch of saffron shawls at the entrance of two educational institutions in Hubballi and distributed it to students with an appeal to wear them regularly while coming to college.
Sene office bearer Bash Durgad said that they distributed around 200 saffron shawls to students at Kanakadasa College and Manila Vidyapeetha.
