New Delhi: Mid-size motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Monday reported a 15 per cent rise in monthly sales at 1,03,231 units in May, against 89,429 units sold in the same month last year.Domestic sales were at 94,115 units in May, up from 75,820 units in the same month last year, up 24 per cent year-on-year, a statement by the company showed.However, exports were down 33 per cent at 9,116 units in May, from 13,609 units in the comparable month of last year.B Govindarajan, Managing Director - Eicher Motors Ltd. and Chief Executive Officer - Royal Enfield, said, "We are carrying our momentum in FY27 with continued growth in Q1, despite the prevailing macro-headwinds. This month was exciting for us, as we strengthened our product portfolio with the Bullet 650".He further said that another significant business milestone in May was the announcement of the company's plans for a new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh to support its long-term projected growth.
