Former Minister of Transportation and ex-Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has accused former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, of lying about the controversial Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) election that deepened divisions within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2015 general elections.
Amaechi made the allegation during a recent interview with Nigerian filmmaker Chude Jideonwo, where he reflected on his political career, relationships with key political figures and some of the defining moments of Nigeria’s recent political history.

Amaechi was declared winner of that contest despite resistance from the PDP leadership and the administration of then-President Goodluck Jonathan.
