Workers at Celltrion, a Korean biopharmaceutical firm, launched a labor union for the first time in the company's history, demanding transparency in compensation, the union said Monday.
In its founding statement, the newly formed union said it marks "the end of an era of fake communication," and called on management to offer "transparent compensation and respect that matches the devotion" put in by its workers.

It also urged increased staffing and enhanced welfare benefits for workers, according to the statement.
