Bengaluru North Division police seized 75 vehicles during a special enforcement drive conducted on the night of the IPL final on May 31, targeting riders performing stunts on the road, traffic violators, and suspicious vehicles, across 13 police station limits.The operation was launched as part of enhanced security arrangements for the high-profile cricket match. Senior police officers and personnel were deployed on patrol duty, while check-posts (naka points) were set up at strategic locations to monitor vehicle movement, and maintain public order.During the drive, police checked vehicles involved in wheeling, triple riding, and other traffic violations. A total of 75 vehicles were seized, including 71 two-wheelers, three autorickshaws, and one car. Officials said legal action would be initiated against the riders and drivers in accordance with the law.The special operation was carried out under the guidance of the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner. It was led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, North division, with the participation of three Assistant Commissioners of Police, inspectors from 13 police stations, and other police personnel.Police said that the crackdown was aimed at ensuring public safety, and preventing reckless driving and other unlawful activities during the IPL final celebrations.
