The Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) signed an agreement with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) to work on water resources satellites and digital water management, the state-run water utility firm said Monday.

The memorandum of understanding was signed in Luxembourg on Wednesday as part of K-water's aim to strengthen research cooperation with major European institutions. LIST is a public research center focusing on natural and engineering sciences.

The two organizations will jointly work in areas such as satellite-based flood and drought monitoring, responding to climate change, AI and Internet of Things-based water management and joint participation in the European Union's Horizon Europe program and researcher exchanges.
