US President Donald Trump has deferred making a final decision on a truce with Iran after a meeting with advisers on Friday amid reports he was requesting several amendments to a deal his envoys negotiated.

Trump wants the deal and expects to finalize it soon, but was keen to strengthen several points, particularly regarding Iran's nuclear program, according to a report by United States media outlet Axios. Trump also wants to edit wordings around the full opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
