MANILA, Philippines — A supposed “Robin Hood” figure is connected to the alleged clandestine shabu (crystal meth) laboratory busted by the authorities last week in Occidental Mindoro, the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP DEG) said on Monday.

In a briefing in Camp Crame, DEG director Brig. Gen. Elmer Ragay noted that two “caretakers” were arrested during the operation that discovered the lab in Sitio Kaybunga, Barangay Bulacan, Looc town.

“The land itself, the property has no title. But, we have leads we’re following. Allegedly, the boss of these two caretakers is a native of the place but often stays here in Manila, so that’s a subject for follow-up operations. We’ve identified them and we are pursuing leads,” Ragay explained.
