New Delhi: The Centre has sanctioned deployment of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel for securing the NATGRID (national intelligence grid) campus in Bengaluru.A spokesperson for the paramilitary force said on Sunday that the Ministry of Home Affairs has sanctioned a total of 76 posts for the task.The grid is a critical national security infrastructure that aggregates data from multiple intelligence and law enforcement databases to support counterterrorism operations, the CISF spokesperson said.It has got a campus in Yelahanka in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru. Its headquarters in Delhi is already secured by CISF to provide security against terrorist attacks and sabotage.The force, under MHA, provides armed security cover to critical and sensitive installations in both the government and private domain.In a similar development last week, CISF took over security of the Sushma Swaraj Bhawan located in Delhi's Chanakyapuri area with the deployment of 90 personnel.
