Vizag Runners Society in association with GMR Airports organised ‘Run to Runway’ Airside 5K run/walk event on Sunday at the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport, which is scheduled to be inaugurated in July 2026.The event offered participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to run on the airport runway airside and marked a memorable celebration of fitness, unity, and the spirit of Vizag. Commemorative medals were distributed to all selected participants who participated.During the event, the Vizag Runners Society unveiled the launch posters of the Sandhya Marines Vizag Marathon – 5th Edition at the airport terminal. The event was graced by GMR AERO officials - Kanwarbir Singh Kalra, M. Koteswara Rao. GUG Sastry and others, flagged off the event.Runners from different running communities, fitness enthusiasts, sponsors, and supporters from across the country participated.
