OGBOMOSO — A high-level Federal Government delegation has arrived in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, following the abduction of about 46 pupils and teachers from Baptist Nursery and Primary Schools in Esiele and Yawota communities in the Orire Local Government Area.

Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, disclosed this in a post on his X handle on Sunday.

According to him, the delegation proceeded to the affected communities shortly after arriving in Ogbomoso to assess the situation and coordinate federal response efforts.

The team is led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and includes the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun; the Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (rtd.); the Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe; and Sunday Dare himself, who serves as Special Adviser on Public Communications.
