Collector R. Vaithinathan assumes office in Theni on Sunday.

R. Vaithinathan, a 2015 batch IAS officer assumed as the new Collector of Theni district on Sunday.Prior to the new posting, he had served as the Director, Directorate Information and Public Relations.Having served as Assistant Collector (Training) in Salem, he was Sub-Collector, Uthamapalayam (Theni district), and in Pollachi (Coimbatore district). He was also Additional Collector (Development) in Dharmapuri district and had served as Corporation Commissioner, Tiruchi City.Senior officers from various departments held a meeting with the new Collector, a press release stated.The outgoing Collector Ranjith Singh has been appointed as the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services Limited, Chennai.
