Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has said the government is doing everything “humanly possible” to secure the release of schoolchildren and teachers abducted during a terrorist attack in Oriire Local Government Area of the state.

Several teachers, pupils and residents were abducted when heavily armed men recently attacked schools and surrounding communities in the Esiele and Yawota areas of Oriire Local Government Area.
SaharaReporters had earlier reported that armed assailants stormed LA Primary School and Community Grammar School in the Ahoro-Esiele community, firing sporadically and causing panic among residents, teachers and schoolchildren.
