Mrs. Alamu was among several teachers, pupils and residents abducted when heavily armed men invaded schools and communities in Esiele and Yawota areas of Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State on Friday.
The husband of Mrs. Rachael Alamu, the principal of Community High School, Esiele, Oyo State, has appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to intensify efforts to secure the release of his wife and other victims abducted by terrorists.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported that armed attackers invaded LA Primary School and Community Grammar School in the Ahoro-Esiele community, firing sporadically and causing panic among residents, teachers and pupils.
The attack reportedly claimed the life of at least one teacher, while another teacher was later beheaded in captivity. Mrs. Alamu, two vice principals, at least three other teachers and several pupils were abducted during the incident.
