Rally Instead Of Freedom 250 Concert Series After Most Performers Pull OutPresident Donald Trump on Saturday lashed out at several performers who pulled out of the Freedom 250 concert series, and suggested canceling the event and holding a rally featuring himself instead."I understand Artists are getting 'the yips' having to do with their performance on Wednesday, so I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and he does so without a guitar, the man who loves our Country more than anyone else, and the man who some say is the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J. TRUMP, to take the place of these highly paid, Third Rate 'Artists,' and give a major speech, rallying the Country forward like I have done ever since being President," Trump wrote on Truth Social.A growing number of artists have dropped out of the weeks-long concert series in D.C. organized by Freedom 250, a public-private partnership backed by Trump, such as Bret Michaels, Martina McBride, The Commodores, Morris Day and The Time, and more. Some have stated they were misled about the nature of the event, or were not contacted at all.The president also wrote that the previously listed performers are "paid far too much money" and are unhappy."So, by copy of this TRUTH, I am ordering my Representatives to look at the feasibility of doing an AMERICA IS BACK Rally," he wrote.Trump Rages At Judge Who Ordered His Name Be Taken Off Kennedy CenterPresident Donald Trump raged Saturday at the judge who ordered Trump's name be taken down from the Kennedy Center."Can you imagine?" Trump posted on Truth Social. "A Barack Hussein Obama Judge named Christopher Cooper has stopped a magnificent structural and aesthetic rebuilding of The Trump Kennedy Center where Millions of Dollars of material, marble, furniture, steel, air conditioning, heating, and so much else was ordered, or soon to be ordered, with the end result being a structure that would no longer be in a potential state of collapse, rusted, rotted, and rat and bug infested, to one that would be the Finest anywhere in the World."Judge Christopher Cooper's Friday ruling blocks a December decision by the performing arts center’s Board of Trustees — filled with Trump appointees — to rename it The Trump Kennedy Center.Following the ruling, Trump immediately took to Truth Social to whine.“Unless I am free to do what I do better than anyone else, bring this Institution back, physically, financially, and artistically, I have no interest in continuing what could only be a hopeless journey into ‘NEVER NEVER LAND,’” Trump posted Friday.Despite Trump saying he has "no interest" in the Kennedy Center anymore, he proved Saturday that it's still very much on his mind."Now that won’t happen anymore because a Judge, whose wife is an anti Trump Hater, and he is too, decided, unprecedentedly, to not allow a desperately needed Building Renovation to go forward," Trump posted. "On top of that, he said, 'Rip his name off the Building, he’s got 20 days to do so,' even though a large Board of some of the most distinguished people in the Country voted unanimously to put the name up."The more than 700-word screed included attacking Cooper's wife and accusing her of being a "Radical Left Democrat.""People shouldn’t be allowed to go into that Building until this is fixed, and yet the Trump Hating Judge wants to keep it open because his wife probably told him to do so!" Trump posted."He has a total Conflict of Interest, and should be brought up on charges for not revealing these facts," he added.Hegseth Calls Negotiations With Iran 'Productive' But Signals U.S. Military Action If Talks FailDefense Secretary Pete Hegseth, while wrapping up a trip to Singapore for a security summit, called ongoing negotiations with Iran “productive,” but signaled a willingness to take military action if talks fail.Speaking to reporters, Hegseth referred to President Donald Trump's statements during this week's Cabinet meeting and reiterated the president's signals that the U.S. has a favorable position in a potential agreement with Iran.“We are prepared, we're postured even stronger today than we were on day one to address it that way if we have to, but [Trump] prefers not to,” Hegseth said.“So Iran knows very, very clearly what our expectations are, and that's on the negotiating team to deliver. They're coming in our direction. The talks have been productive. I think they know where it needs to go.”The secretary also said “the Strait of Hormuz came up relatively often” during conversations with leaders and that “the blockade is very much still in place.”White House Memo Says Trump 'Remains In Excellent Health'The White House released a memo late Friday stating President Donald Trump is "in excellent health" following his visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a physical exam on Tuesday.Trump, who will turn 80 in June, has faced scrutiny around his physical health and mental acuity, and is the oldest person to be inaugurated as U.S. president. His physical composed of several tests, including cardiac, neurological, dermatologic, and mental assessments, according to White House physician Capt. Sean Barbabella. “President Trump remains in excellent health, demonstrating strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function," the president's physician wrote. "His demanding daily schedule, including multiple high-level meetings, public engagements, and regular physical activity, continues to support his overall well-being.Barbabella noted the tissue scarring on Trump's right ear due to the injury he suffered during an assassination attempt in July 2024; slight lower leg swelling related to his chronic venous insufficiency diagnosis in 2025; and bruising on Trump’s hands “consistent with minor soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshaking in the setting of aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention.”The White House has addressed the president's proneness to bruising due to a daily aspirin he takes. The memo also showed that Trump gained 14 pounds since his physical in April 2025. “Cognitive and physical performance are excellent,” he concluded. “He is fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”Trump's Hourslong Situation Room Meeting On Iran Has ConcludedPresident Donald Trump ended a Situation Room meeting on Iran without announcing any decision on a deal.“The Situation Room meeting has concluded and lasted approximately two hours," a White House official said. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who's usually a reliable backer of Trump's policies.Criticism of the fund, which was devised to pay out people claiming to be victims of political persecution, has centered around the possibility that rioters from Jan. 6, 2021, who assaulted police could collect payments.Read more from WSJ: Federal Judge Reopens Trump's $10B IRS Lawsuit, Demands Administration Respond To 'Grievous Allegations'A federal judge in Miami ruled Friday to reopen President Donald Trump's $10 billion lawsuit with the IRS and demanded the administration respond to allegations the suit was "premised on deception."The ruling came after a bipartisan group of 35 former federal judges asked Judge Kathleen M. Williams to investigate the circumstances of Trump's questionable settlement with his own government, which led to the creation of a $1.8 billion "anti-weaponization" fund. The group of judges noted in their request that "although there is no settlement of record in this matter, public documents and announcements indicate that the dismissal of this case was premised on a purported settlement between the Parties," the filing reads. The judges also made "grievous allegations" that Trump "voluntarily dismissed this litigation solely to avoid judicial scrutiny of a lawsuit that 'was collusive from the start' and was only filed to provide the imprimatur of legality for an unlawful settlement," Williams wrote. Williams gave Trump a June 12 deadline to respond. Separately on Friday, a federal judge in Virginia ruled to temporarily halt the creation of the "anti-weaponization" fund, which the Trump administration has said could go toward paying those convicted of storming the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
