Senator Elisha Abbo, who represented Adamawa North Senatorial District in the 9th Senate, has emerged as the Labour Party’s governorship candidate for Adamawa State ahead of the 2027 presidential and general elections.
The emergence of Abbo as LP’s flag bearer in Adamawa State was sequel to official clearance by the national leadership of the party on Saturday after the screening exercise that was carried out and pronouncement made as the consensus candidate.
Speaking after the declaration, Senator Abbo, who reaffirmed his commitment to providing purposeful leadership, economic revitalisation, youth empowerment, and improved infrastructure across Adamawa State, however, emphasised the urgent need for inclusive governance that prioritises the welfare of citizens, job creation, education, healthcare, and security.
