Nigeria retained the Unity Cup title on Saturday after defeating Jamaica 3-0 in the final at The Valley in London, with Alhassan Yusuf scoring a brace and Terem Moffi adding another goal in a dominant display by the Super Eagles.
Eric Chelle’s side successfully defended the trophy they won last year, producing a clinical performance against the Reggae Boyz.
Nigeria, who booked their place in the final with a 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe, wasted little time asserting their dominance as Yusuf opened the scoring in the fourth minute.
The midfielder reacted quickest after a long throw was flicked on inside the penalty area, converting the rebound after Jamaica goalkeeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe had initially made a save.
