An House of Representatives aspirant, Edeh Benjamin, has rejected the outcome of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) primary election for the Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency, describing the process as a serious setback for internal democracy, transparency, and the collective will of party members.

Benjamin, who has submitted a formal petition to the party’s national leadership, alleged that the primary election was influenced by powerful interests intent on imposing an outcome that failed to reflect the genuine choice of delegates and grassroots stakeholders.

According to him, the dispute extends beyond personal political ambitions and exposes broader structural issues that could undermine the credibility and long-term viability of the ADC, particularly in the South-South region.
