The National Leadership of the newly registered opposition party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has cracked down on fake, conflicting lists of purported winners of its internal elections in Enugu State currently flooding various social media platforms and blogs.

The party explicitly labeled the online publications as unauthorized political gossip orchestrated by mischief-makers to cause confusion among supporters and political stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing journalists in Enugu on Saturday, May 30, 2026, the National Secretary of the NDC, Barrister Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, confirmed that while the primary elections across the state were successfully and peacefully executed on Friday, May 29, 2026, no official result has been declared to the public.
