Intelligent engineering solutions company Cyient on Saturday said it is acquiring 100% stake in TAO Digital Solutions, a California-headquartered digital engineering firm focused on data, product and AI-led services having presence besides the U.S., in Canada, India, Taiwan and Europe.It is a cash deal, including upfront payment and performance-linked earnout. The transaction implies an enterprise value of $218 million and subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions expected to close by Q2 FY27.Cyient said TAO Digital brings two synergistic capabilities -- AI and Data Engineering enabling enterprise-grade AI adoption through data and platform modernisation, GenAI production deployment, and AI lifecycle operations across industries; and Digital and Product Engineering spanning cloud-native platforms, application modernisation, platform engineering, and quality engineering at global scale.“The acquisition strengthens our presence in automotive, hitech, healthtech sectors, expands our customer footprint significantly in North America and our delivery reach across regions,” Executive Director and CEO of Cyient Sukamal Banerjee said in a release.“Since founding TAO Digital in 2022, we have built deep, trusted relationships with some of the world’s most demanding enterprises, earning a strong reputation for engineering quality and continuous innovation.
