The Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has secured second place in the prestigious Sagar Aankalan Certificate for Logistics Port Performance for the financial year 2024-25. The recognition, conferred by the Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, underscores the port’s strong operational performance at the national level.The award was presented to the VPA for its outstanding performance in handling liquid bulk cargo in the category of ports handling 5 million tonnes and above.Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal presented the award to Roshni Aparanji Korati, Deputy Chairperson of VPA, at a ceremony held in Mumbai.In an official statement, the port administration said the achievement reflects its continued emphasis on operational excellence, logistics efficiency and innovation, as well as the collective efforts of its employees and stakeholders.
