Clive Davis, the legendary music executive who helped shape the careers of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Kelly Clarkson, has been hospitalized in New York City. A spokesperson told TMZ he was admitted Friday evening (May 29, 2026) with an upper respiratory infection and, out of an abundance of caution, doctors kept him under observation. His spokesperson said that he is expected to be released in the next 24 hours.Widely known for his Grammy parties, Clive has faced health challenges before. In February 2021, he was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. A towering figure in the music industry, Clive not only discovered Whitney Houston but also co-founded Bad Boy Records with Sean “Diddy” Combs “Puff Daddy” to “P.
