Italian police have arrested two Nigerians over the alleged abduction and gang rape of a Colombian tourist in Rome.

The suspects, identified as Isibor Wisdom, 29, and Paul Nwabueze, 39, were arrested alongside three others: Saidykhan Lamin, 29, and Karamba Kanteh, 38, both Gambians, as well as Harouna Traore, a 43-year-old Malian.

A Daily Express report on Thursday stated that the 32-year-old Colombian woman was allegedly lured away from a restaurant in Rome on May 19 by a man who offered to sell hashish, a cannabis product, to her.

After allegedly convincing her to follow him, the tourist was reportedly driven to an abandoned building on the eastern outskirts of the city, where she was held captive for three days.
