BYD officially launched the third-gen Yuan Plus on March 21, starting at just 119,900 yuan ($17,600). While that’s a bit more expensive than the outgoing model’s starting price of 115,800 yuan ($17,000), it received several major upgrades.
The Yuan Plus is among the first mass-market EVs to feature BYD’s new Blade Battery 2.0 and Flash Charging system, introduced during its Disruptive Tech event in March.
Available with two battery sizes: 57.5 kWh or 68.5 kWh, the electric SUV offers CLTC driving ranges of up to 540 km (335 miles) and 630 km (391 miles), respectively.
