More than a third of Americans don’t think they’ll have enough saved for retirement. That's according to the Employee Benefit Research Institute and Greenwald Research. The institute’s annual Retirement Confidence Survey, released last month, found that health care costs and housing expenses are among several reasons for financial anxiety for workers and retirees alike. For some, one solution to financial trouble in retirement is unretiring and going back to work.“Marketplace” spoke with Anna Romero in New York, who retired from an operations role at 55. She thought she’d be set for life and that she could enjoy some restful retirement years. But now, at 74, she’s back on the job market. “I tell people, if you’re thinking of retirement, you gotta remember to look at the whole picture because if you still have a mortgage and your job doesn’t come with paid medical retirement, you’re gonna need extra money,” Anna said. “Never in a million years would I expect to find myself in the situation that I am over the last few years. Never.” To hear more of Anna’s story, click the play button above.
