The Samsung 40-Inch Class Full HD F6000 Smart TV is a 1080p LED television running Samsung’s One UI Tizen smart platform. The display handles HDR content for expanded contrast between the lightest and darkest parts of a scene, with Mega Contrast adjusting brightness levels automatically based on what’s playing. Object Tracking Sound Lite adds a virtual overhead audio channel that follows on-screen movement for more dimensional sound. Samsung’s Tizen system includes access to over 2,700 free channels through Samsung TV Plus, along with the standard streaming apps, and the TV receives software updates for 7 years from release.

A large TV with an excellent picture and smart features

At 1080p, the 40-inch has enough pixels to remain sharp at a typical viewing distance. PurColor increases the number of colors that can be displayed, allowing for much brighter, fuller, and more lifelike color. HDR extends the range of black and white levels to enhance contrast when viewing compatible content. The TV also has a MegaContrast feature that dynamically adjusts brightness and contrast to enhance contrast between light and dark portions of the picture.

Object Tracking Sound Lite uses the built-in speakers to push audio around the screen. A car moving left to right or a voice from the top of the frame sounds like it comes from that spot, not from one fixed point in the center. The effect shows up more in action scenes and sports than in dialogue-heavy content. Connecting a compatible Samsung soundbar adds Q-Symphony, which keeps the TV speakers running alongside the soundbar so both output sound together.
