Siyana Alekova secured Bulgaria’s second gold medal at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Varna, continuing a strong home performance in the junior competition.
Alekova delivered a clean and technically strong routine in the hoop final, earning 27.100 points, with high marks for difficulty, execution, and artistry. The score placed her clearly ahead of the field and confirmed her as European junior champion in the apparatus.
Silver went to Kseniia Savinova, who scored 26.350 points, while Italy’s Flavia Cassano took bronze with 25.800.
The result followed Alekova’s earlier success in the team competition, where she contributed alongside Dea Emilova and Aleksandra Petrova to Bulgaria’s junior team gold.
Emilova also reached the podium in individual events, winning silver in the clubs final with 26.800 points. In contrast, her ribbon routine contained mistakes, leaving her seventh with 22.650 points.
