Woolworths Holdings Limited has increased security and vigilance across its stores nationwide following two separate incidents involving improvised explosive devices at branches in Pretoria and Bloemfontein this past week.
The retailer confirmed that devices were detonated during the early hours of Thursday and Friday morning at its Menlyn Park store in Pretoria and its Preller Square branch in Bloemfontein.
According to Woolworths, both incidents took place between 01:00 and 02:00 while the stores were closed.
The company said no injuries were reported in either incident.
