Vaani AI — Making Communication More Inclusive with Speech Recognition and Indian Sign Language
Introduction
Communication accessibility remains a major challenge for many people, especially individuals with hearing or speech-related difficulties. While voice assistants and AI tools are becoming more common, many solutions still fail to address inclusive interaction for users who rely on sign language or real-time transcription.
To address this problem, I built Vaani AI — an Android-based accessibility application that combines real-time speech transcription and Indian Sign Language (ISL) interaction into a single platform.
Vaani focuses on making communication more accessible, interactive, and inclusive through AI-powered speech and gesture technologies.
