Deputy Commissioner Rahul Pandve, who is also District Level Narco Coordination Committee Chairman, has warned that cases will be registered against production, cultivation, transportation and consumption of narcotics and drugs.He was addressing a meeting in Yadgir on Wednesday.The administration will strictly act against the cultivation of ganja and transportation of drugs across the district.To prevent such activities, check-posts have been set up. The department officers concerned have been instructed to also check trains that pass through Yadgir, he said.The Deputy Commissioner also suggested launching an awareness campaign in public places and on school and college premises about health hazards and social harm from narcotics and drugs.The general public should also join hands with the administration by raising complaints against drug transportation and other related activities by registering complaints on the State Police and Drug Free Karnataka app, he advised.Superintendent of Police Pruthvik Shankar and others were present.
