MANILA, Philippines – San Miguel Corp. (SMC) said its proposed P7.78-billion Boracay Bridge remains under review as it continues consultations with local stakeholders.
In a statement on Friday, the conglomerate said reports it had withdrawn stemmed from differing interpretations of a May 13 meeting between SMC Chairman and CEO Ramon Ang and Aklan officials.

The meeting was attended by Aklan governor Jose Enrique Miraflores, Representatives Florencio Miraflores and Jesus Marquez, and board member Reynaldo Quimpo.
