Ali Bagheri Kani, the Deputy for Foreign Policy and International Security at the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council, stated that the United States must release all of Iran's frozen assets "without any conditions."

The security official, who has traveled to Moscow to attend an international security summit, responded to media inquiries regarding specific figures by stating that Tehran's position entails the full return of "all blocked assets" belonging to Iran and is not restricted to a "specific amount."

These remarks come at a time when the President of the United States told reporters during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, May 27, that he would neither lift sanctions on Iran nor release Iran's blocked assets as part of any agreement.
