The man, seen wearing a baseball cap, was spotted destroying the 2015 Vanquish at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club in South West London on Monday.The details of the attack is yet to be confirmed, as the Metropolitan Police investigate the damage, which appears to be a result of a cheating scandal. Video footage taken in the aftermath of the incident showed a man walking away from the vehicle, before revealing the extent of the damage.A witness who took video footage described seeing the masked man take out a hammer from his rucksack before he wrecked the vehicle, smashing the windows, lights and tearing the roof open. The rear-wheel drive car personalised with the numberplate ‘BD55 BOB’ was sprayed with what appeared to be the word ‘CHEATER’ in white across the bonnet.The high-end car, which retails for as much as £192,000 when new, is capable of reaching a top speed of 201 mph and accelerating from 0 to 52 mph in just 3.6 seconds. But after the damage, the car was declared a 'write-off'.The Metropolitan Police said it was investigating the incident. Officers attended and searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
