According to the official data, Yobe State in the North-East and Edo State in the South-South emerged as the absolute most expensive places to purchase Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in the country, with citizens paying as high as ₦1,599.05 per litre.

However, marketers and filing stations in 12 key states have consistently squeezed consumers by forcing pump prices significantly above the baseline.
